Aquarius.NET®
- analysis and management
 |
Management objects and tools allows representation of normalized data
sources independently of their physical formats. It allowes to mix and
match connected data and helps to understand their hidden relationships.
Powerful analytical query infrastructure combined with high performance
cache enables on the spot decision-making. Further it aids in deeper
understanding of hidden relationships among divergent spatial and
attribute data. Spatial reference subsystem contains a vast number of
projections, ellipsoids, datums, units of measure and prefabricated coordinate
reference systems from every part of the industry, achieving
world-wide compatibility. Localization support allows to localize data
for different nationalities and present them in an appropriate
language.

Management
Aquarius.NET organizes available resources into applications and workspaces.
Users are asigned to roles, depending on their access rights to the
application workspaces. Workspaces are persistent storages for all Aquarius.NET
objects. Every object can be stored in XML or binary format. Feature
Source object is fundamental abstraction of disparate connected data sources.
Each feature source is equipped with schema, describing its properties and
structure. Aquarius.NET fully conforms with OpenGIS Simple Feature Geometry
specification. Geometry library implements complete object model including
analytical methods. Spatial reference library contains dozens of objects for
description and use of coordinate reference systems, projections, datum
conversions etc. Feature sources are interpreted using Layers and aggregated in
MapViews. More...
Analysis
Aquarius.NET allows to execute commands against Feature sources, Layers and
aggregated MapViews. Powerful query language (based on OpenGIS standards) is
independent from underlying data format. This allows to query divergent
data sources in different coordinate systems and still obtain homogenous
results. Query language features arithmetic, logical and spatial operators. The
query expression could combine attribute and spatial operators and literals.
Filters based on query language are havily used throughout the system. Styles
are applied to geometries during rendering after evaluating the filter. More...
