Drawing
  • For 2D graphics output, Aquarius.NET uses GDI+ including 32 bit color management and alpha channel.
  • For 3D graphics output, Aquarius.NET uses latest DirextX technology
  • Style is the base object defining how the graphics objects are placed and drawn on the map surface. In Aquarius.NET, style is composition of objects such pens, brushes, colors, fonts, images and symbols.
  • Aquarius.NET uses two basic kind of styles - Geometry and Overlay styles. Geometry styles are used for visualizing shape of objects and overlay styles are used for visualising its attributes.

Windows User Interface

  • Windows user interface is designed for local windows based clients.
  • Workspace Editor, Layer Manager, SpatialViewer, Symbol Editor and many others prefabricated controls and forms could be used during rapid application development.

Web Services

  • Web services delivers functionality of the framework to service consumers.
  • Native web services uses SOAP and leverages full potential of the framework and are consumed by prefabricated Widows controls or Web parts.
  • Compatible web services supports existing third party consumers (ArcIMS clients, MapPoint.NET clients, OpenGIS clients).

Web User Interface

  • Web user interface consists from three main levels: Web Services, Web Parts and Web Forms.
  • Web parts are Web user interface building blocks available within Aquarius.NET framework.
  • Web parts contains AquariusExplorer, MapView, LayerManager, SelectionViewer etc.
